Head-coverings were a critical component of dress in the Middle Ages. Hats were common with men and women of all classes, and came in a wide variety of forms, and made of a wide variety of materials. Men wore their hats alone or over a hood<\/a> or coif<\/a>. Our men\u2019s hats are based on a pattern that dates from circa 1315 to 1440 and is such a universal style that it is appropriate from the Late 13th century into the early Renaissance.<\/p>

He adds yet another splash of color with his bright blue wool garters<\/a> and slate blue short tailed hood<\/a>. The look is completed with a black belt<\/a>, pair of black ankle boots<\/a>, and of course, a wool brimmed hat.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
