Our heavyweight cotton arming cap is made with the same construction as our cotton gambeson. Its made with an outer layer of heavy cotton canvas and has a medium weight cotton lining. Based on the concept of a padded coif as shown used in a military context in 13th century sources and the three panel coif pattern that is used in later medieval periods. Use it on its own or inside your helmet.<\/p>
