Like any martial art, the art of the sword brings with it a host of bumps and bruises. Made from the same high-quality leather and stitch construction as our\u00a0Padded Swordplay Gloves<\/a>, these gloves have added,\u00a0rigid knuckle plates\u00a0on hand and thumb made of Carbon Kevlar,\u00a0dense foam along the fingers and thumb,\u00a0as well as all around the \u2018gauntlet\u2019 part of the glove for added wrist protection.\u00a0The foam in these gloves is denser and more rigid providing extra protection, but patterned in such way as to provide coverage along your fingers, back of hand, knuckles and wrist while not restricting mobility. Our Rigid Plate HEMA Gloves are designed to help protect against light blows, works well as hand padding inside a buckler and while sparring with light weapons. \u00a0Designed specifically for practitioners of the Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) and Western Martial Arts (WMA) communities.<\/p>
